The New York Yankees kept the World Series alive by winning Game 4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing fans to have another chance to see them host the Dodgers in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday.
Despite the Game 4 win, ticket prices continue to sink from where they were at the start of the series, with Yankees still facing a difficult road ahead.
Anthony Volpe‘s third-inning grand slam sparked New York’s 11-4 comeback win over Los Angeles on Tuesday night, in a series that was looking increasingly grim for the Bronx Bombers.
The New York franchise must win three consecutive games to stage a monumental comeback in the series, and even winning two in a row after a 3-0 start is a feat that has never been done before in World Series history.
And it appears the stakes are too high for Yankees fans going by the situation with the price of tickets.
One would still need to pay around $500 a head for the cheapest seats in the Bronx on Wednesday, but that’s still less than half what they cost a week ago.
Tickets range from $485 to $650, depending on the platform one is hoping to buy from as well as whether they are standing or seat tickets.
