Lamine Yamal and Gavi were on target as Barcelona reached the Spanish Super Cup final with a 2-0 win over Athletic Club at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Gavi put the Catalans in front after 17 minutes before Yamal doubled their advantage after 53 minutes, , paying homage to his idol, Neymar, with his celebration afterwards.
Athletic tried to fight back and had the ball in the net after 86 minutes, only for VAR to rule out Inaki Williams’ goal as Barca held on for the win and book a spot in the final.
Barcelona now await the winner of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Real Mallorca.
