Argentina midfielder, Guido Rodriguez, has completed a move to English Premier League side, West Ham United, on a free transfer after his contract with Real Betis expired earlier this summer.
30-year-old Rodriguez was part of the Argentina squad that won the FIFA World Cup in 2022 and the Copa America this year, and will now be a West Ham player on a two-year deal.
“I feel like it’s every footballer’s dream to play in the Premier League, and I was very excited when I heard that West Ham were interested in me,” Rodriguez said after sealing his move to the London Stadium.
He continued, “It’s a historic club that has a really interesting project. I think it’s the right club for me, at the right time, and I hope together we can keep growing.”
Rodriguez made 173 appearances in four years for Real Betis, scoring nine goals and assisting four times.
