Shakirat Moshood’s long range strike ensures Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s National Team has ended the group stage of the competition with a perfect record as her goal earned the Group A leaders a 1-0 win.
Moshood, who leads the scoring chart in the competition with four goals so far, shot from more than 30 yards out, with the ball sailing over the Dominican Republic goalkeeper to finally break the deadlock for Nigeria in the 88th minute of the encounter.

For Nigeria, finishing top of the group sets up a quarter-final clash against the United States that finished second in Group B behind Spain following a 5-0 win over South Korea in their final group match.
Elsewhere, Spain edged Colombia 2-1 to also make it three wins from three games like Nigeria. They will now face Ecuador, who finished behind the Flamingos after a 4-0 win over New Zealand.
