Manchester United have submitted a first bid to Brentford for Cameroon international forward, Bryan Mbeumo, on Wednesday night although the London side may turn down the opening offer from the Red Devils.
According to The Athletic, the Europa League finalists have put an offer of £45m on the table for Mbeumo, who finished the 2024-25 Premier League season with 20 goals and seven assists to help the Bees finish in the top half of the league.
United’s offer also includes an additional £10m in add-ons, as Ruben Amorim looks to bolster the team that saw the strike duo of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee score only seven goals combined in the league last season.
However, the offer for Mbeumo is believed to fall some way off the valuation that would entice Brentford enough to consider letting the 25-year-old complete a switch from the Gtech Stadium to Old Trafford this summer.
