Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has given a detailed account of the Nigeria national team’s experience last October in Libya where the players and crew were left stranded in a remote local airport in the country for 15 hours.
Nigeria was scheduled to face Libya in a second-leg Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match when the Super Eagles’ flight to Tripoli was diverted to a secluded Al Abraq airport, with the players, crew and NFF staff locked in until intervention came through the next day for the team.
