Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has become the second all-time leading top scorer for the Nigeria national team following his goal against Benin Republic in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Thursday night.
The Galatasaray star sent a well-placed header into the far corner of the Benin goal to earn a 1-1 draw for the Super Eagles with his 23rd goal in 37 appearances for the national team.
The goal makes Osimhen Nigeria’s joint second all-time leading scorer along with Segun Odegbami, with the legendary Rashidi Yekini 14 goals ahead as the all-time top scorer of the Super Eagles.
How soon do you reckon Osimhen will surpass Yekini’s longstanding record for the Super Eagles?
