Two people are reportedly dead while hundreds have been arrested in France after violence broke out at multiple locations as fans celebrated Paris Saint-Germain’s emphatic win over Inter Milan on Saturday night.

Almost 200 people were injured and more than 500 people have been arrested at the various locations, with a 17-year-old boy dying from stab wounds to the chest in the south-west town of Dax according to local media, while a 23-year-old man also died after being hit by a vehicle in central Paris.

The French interior ministry said that 192 people were injured and 559 people arrested, including 491 in Paris. “We are floored by all the drama tonight,” Dax Mayor, Julien Dubois, stated on social media. “It is advisable to quickly shed light on these facts in order to severely punish the perpetrator.”

PSG claimed a first Champions League title after a 5-0 win over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena thanks to goals by Achraf Hakimi, Desire Doue with a brace, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu.
