While it remains to be seen if Victor Osimhen will be a Galatasaray striker after this season, it is sure that his name will be remembered long after his loan spell from Napoli ends when the 2024-25 campaign is over.
That’s because the Nigeria international has set a record for foreign players in Galatasaray, as his two goals helped Super Lig leaders to the Turkish Cup title in a 3-0 win over Trabzonspor on Wednesday night.

Those goals take his tally this season to 35 goals in all competitions, making him the highest scoring foreign player in Galatasaray’s history as he surpasses the previous record set by Mario Jardel back in 2004.
Osimhen currently leads the Super Lig scoring charts with 24 goals, three goals ahead of Krzysztof Piatek of Istanbul Basaksehir with 21 goals and Trabzonspor’s Simon Banza who has 19 goals with three games left in the league season.
