Interim Manchester United manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has enjoyed a good spell in the role since the exit of Erik Ten Hag from Old Trafford, and now the Dutchman is tipping one of the club’s players to grow into a formidable force in the future.
Speaking ahead of the Europa League match with PAOK on Thursday night, Nistelrooy stated that Hojlund can reach the highest level provided he stays grounded.
“Rasmus [Hojlund] has to stay calm and believe in himself. He’s a guy with great potential who can change the game in a second. He is young. He is promising. The work he is putting in will pay off. I am confident in that,” said the interim United boss about the Danish striker.
The former United and Real Madrid striker added, “When its needed for him to hold-up and get players into third-man positions, he does a brilliant job as well. And he is a guy who can change a game in a second like the penalty moment [against Chelsea].”
