Tyrell Malacia Joins PSV Eindhoven on Loan from Manchester United

Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven have snapped up Manchester United full-back Tyrell Malacia on a six-month loan deal until the end of the current campaign.

The 25-year-old Dutchman recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff and had made eight appearances for the Red Devils this season.

But the arrival of Patrick Dorgu from Italian Serie A side Lecce meant that Malacia would find game-time hard to come by, hence the need for a temporary move.

PSV Eindhoven will cover the full-back’s salary and there is an option to make the loan deal permanent for €10 million, plus a further 30 percent sell-on clause for Manchester United in the event of a future sale.

Malacia joined United in 2022 from Feyenoord, but has battled injury for the past 17 months. During his time at Old Trafford, the Holland international won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup under former boss Erik ten Hag.
