Miami Heat needed overtime to make it happen, but the former NBA champions are through to this season’s play-offs following a hard-fought win over Atlanta Hawks in a play-in match.
Tyler Herro scored a game-high 30 points to help the Heat to a 123-114 overtime success over the Hawks, as they set up a first-round meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers when the play-offs start.
After beating the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, the Miami Heat followed that up with another win to become the first 10th-seeded team to reach the NBA play-offs through the play-in tournament.
