England boss, Thomas Tuchel, has handed Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia striker, Ivan Toney, a surprise recall to the Three Lions while Manchester City midfielder, Phil Foden, has been left out, ahead of matches against Andorra and Senegal in June.
This is Toney’s first invitation to the England squad since he joined Al Ahli from Brentford a year ago, having impressed with 28 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions in the Middle East. Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, has also been called despite being scheduled for a shoulder surgery.
Also called up is Eberechi Eze, following the Crystal Palace man’s form in the run-in to the end of season that has seen the Eagles win the FA Cup against Man. City, whose Foden has been left out of the latest Three Lions squad.
Also missing is Marcus Rashford, as the Manchester United forward on loan at Aston Villa recovers from a hamstring injury. Other players missing from the latest England squad include Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Dominic Solanke, Kobbie Mainoo, and Jarrod Bowen.
