Super Eagles and former Arsenal midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali, has landed himself in trouble for violent conduct after punching an opponent during a match in England.
The 26-year-old, who now plies his trade at Barnsley and was on Arsenal’s books between 2016 and 2019, got himself sent off when he punched a Birmingham City Academy player during an U21 match.
The straight red card means Nwakali will serve a three-match suspension for violent conduct, and he could face further disciplinary action, pending a review.
This comes as a blow for Nwakali in his pursuit of first-team minutes in order to get his career back on track.
