Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is close to leaving Liverpool as La Liga giants, Real Madrid, remain in talks to get the England international’s signature on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer and Los Blancos have made the England international their number one target, having signalled their interest for close to two years.
While a deal is still to be fully agreed, work towards completing the transfer is reaching the closing stages – though nothing has been signed yet according to transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano.
Alexander-Arnold has spent his entire career at Anfield since joining at the age of six, coming through the youth system and making over 300 senior appearances for the club.
He was handed his debut by Jurgen Klopp in 2016, has won every major trophy since then, and is currently the club’s vice-captain.
