Ferran Torres scored twice after coming on as a substitute to help Barcelona secure a thrilling 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Following a goalless first half, Raphinha put Hansi Flick’s side ahead seven minutes into the second half, running on to a pass from Dani Olmo to slot into the bottom corner.
Dortmund took little time to equalise as Guinean striker, Serhou Guirassy, scored from the penalty spot on the hour mark after he was fouled in the Barca box by Cubarsi.
Torres put Barca back in front in the 75th minute, four minutes after replacing Robert Lewandowski. The substitute pounced on the loose ball to tap in after the Dortmund keeper pushed a Fermin Lopez shot to Torres’ path.
But again, Barca’s lead lasted mere minutes as Guirassy was on hand to get a second goal on a platter after Pascal Gross beat Barca keeper Inaki Pena to the ball and squared to the Dortmund striker to tap into an empty goal.
Torres would secure the win with five minutes to go at the end of a Barca’s counter-attack from a Dortmund corner-kick. The ball gets to Lamine Yamal who rolls a pass forward for Torres to score the winner.
The result takes Barca up to second on the table with 15 points after six matches, while Dortmund are now ninth with 12 points.
