The English top-flight’s 2024/2025 campaign is almost at its midway point, and as usual, several players have lit up the scene with incredible performances in a bid to help their respective teams achieve their objectives at the end of the campaign.

Here, we look at some of the best performers in the Premier League so far as the Year 2024 draws to a close.

Mo Salah (Liverpool)

The mercurial forward leads the scorer’s charts with 17 goals, following a blistering start to the season under new boss Arne Slot.

Having endured somewhat of a decent campaign (by his standards) last term, the Egyptian is leaving no stone unturned as he reminds the Anfield faithful why he remains the top dog at Merseyside and, indeed, England.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

The England international has continued from where he left off last season. The former Manchester City starlet has found the back of the net twelve times and is always in the mix of everything good for the Blues regarding goals, assists and general all-round play.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca realises Palmer’s importance to the team, as he is only used for the Premier League fixtures and rested for the Cup ties. All this is to help him churn out his best every weekend.

Palmer is one to watch to scoop the big awards soon.

Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)

The Serbian player has excelled at Nottingham Forest and formed part of a formidable defence, which has been the basis of their shock top-four push. He has also chipped in vital goals in consecutive games to help his team’s cause for continental football next term.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)

The lanky striker is in a rich vein of form, scoring 11 goals for the Magpies this season.

When fit, Isak undoubtedly is the Toon’s surest bet for delivering the goods, and his goals will be crucial for the club in the new year as Newcastle United also chase glory in the Carabao Cup, where they are in the semis.

Matheus Cunha (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Despite the rough start to the campaign for the Molineux-based club, ultimately resulting in Gary O’Neil’s dismissal as manager, Cunha has stood head and shoulders above all.

The Brazilian has pitched in with 10 goals so far and has caught the eyes of several top teams in England. Surely, he will take the next step and move to a bigger team soon. For now, Wolves will need his good form in the club’s bid to beat the drop this season.
