American Football legend, Tom Brady, has joined the ranks of NFL team owners after the successful purchase of a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, as announced by the NFL.
Brady’s approval by NFL owners on Tuesday to buy a 5% stake in the Raiders has been described as a great sign of the health of the league by commissioner Roger Goodell.
“It’s great that Tom Brady wants to invest in the NFL,” Goodell told reporters after the meeting in Atlanta. “He cares deeply about this game, he believes in its future, and I think that’s just a signal about it.”
Reacting on social media after the approval was received, Brady wrote, “I’m excited to contribute to the organization in any way I can, honoring the Raiders’ rich tradition while finding every possible opportunity to improve our offering to fans.”
