Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan put up a commanding display at the Diamond League in Rabat, setting a season’s best time of 12.45 seconds on the way to winning the women’s 100m hurdles.
Amusan won the race ahead of Nadine Visser of the Netherlands who came second with a time of 12.67 seconds, pipping Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska who crossed the line in third place in 12.69 seconds.
The time set by Amusan is also a new Meet Record in Rabat, beating the previous time of 12.51 seconds set by Brianna McNeal of the United States in 2018.
Having finished fourth in the previous two Diamond League events with the race as part of the schedule, there was some pressure on Amusan to deliver in Rabat ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo.
