15-time major winner, Tiger Woods, has confirmed the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods. The 49 year-old American made the announcement on social media, though he did not give the cause of her death.
“My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable. She was quick with the needle and a laugh,” Woods wrote. “She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible. She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.”
The 82-time PGA Tour winner ended his message with the words: “Love you Mom.”
Woods also thanked his fans for their support and prayers and asked for privacy “at this difficult time for me and my family.”
Kultida Woods, a native of Thailand, was often seen by her son’s side during several golf tournaments.
