Young attacking midfielder, Alejandro Garnacho is set to depart Manchester United this summer after falling out of favour at the Red Devils, with three Premier League sides in the running to sign the winger.
The Argentina international is on his way out of Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim. Garnacho had initially managed to claw his way back into the picture, but both he and his brother lashed out at the head coach after only seeing 20 minutes in the Europa League final.
This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Amorim, and he bluntly told Garnacho to find a new club this summer, which has piqued the interest of several sides around Europe
The Old Trafford outfit was already open to offers in January, but a hefty €70 million asking price deterred Chelsea and Napoli. With the Red Devils now keen to get rid of him, the 20-year-old is expected to be significantly cheaper this window.
Both Chelsea and Napoli still hold an interest in the youngster, but they are far from the only sides who are determined to claim his signature. There are currently three unnamed Premier League clubs ‘pushing’ to sign Garnacho, who is guaranteed to leave Man Utd this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Romano claimed that the decision to leave has already been made and that there is a very strong chance of seeing Garnacho remain in the top flight of English football.
Chelsea are surely one of the clubs Romano refused to name-drop, while the other two are subject to speculation. Arsenal, for example, are known to be in the market for a left-winger. Aston Villa too are looking for a replacement for Marcus Rashford, though a deal might be difficult to pull off.
Romano also confirmed that Garnacho is fielding interest from Serie A and Bayer Leverkusen, now coached by Erik ten Hag. A move to Germany is unlikely, though, due to his expected price.
