Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has parted ways with French team, Paris FC, following the expiration of her contract, bringing an end to a relatively successful five-year spell at the club.
The Super Falcons goalkeeper, who is in the national team camp ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next month, leaves Paris FC after making 118 appearances in all competitions.
“Paris FC warmly thanks Chiamaka for these five years, which will forever leave a mark on the club’s history. We wish him the best for the next stage of his career.” the club wrote in a statement originally posted in French on Friday.
During her time at the club, Paris FC gained promotion to the French top-flight and qualified for the UEFA Women’s Champions League three times, beating reigning champions, Arsenal, to reach the group stage in the 2023-24 campaign.
Nnadozie also won a Coupe de France title in the recently concluded season at the club, and received accolades such as the Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season in 2024 and UNFP Best Goalkeeper during her time at Paris FC. She also won the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023 and 2024.
