Nigeria’s Super Eagles can book a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in the qualifying match against neighbours, Benin Republic, at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, the capital of Cote D’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles lead their qualification group with 10 points after four matches, and will qualify for the next AFCON taking place in Morocco from December 2025 by avoiding defeat against second placed Benin Republic on Thursday night.
Speaking ahead of the crunch clash, the Al Kholood of Saudi Arabia defender told the media that the squad feels at home in Abidjan and is confident they will get the job done against a Benin side they know very well having played multiple times recently.
“We’ll be very ready. We feel at home here in Abidjan, and I’m confident we can do the job and qualify by winning our game tomorrow. That’s what we’re going out to do,” the Super Eagles captain said.
