A total of 22 players are in the London camp for Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of the Unity Cup exhibition tournament taking place in the United Kingdom and the international friendly against Russia in Moscow.

Head coach Eric Chelle originally invited 26 players for the Unity Cup, with the likes of Leicester City duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, as well as Nantes FC winger Moses Simon being the early arrivals in camp.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen ace Nathan Tella is also in camp along with midfield workhorse Frank Onyeka, defender Semi Ajayi, and newly-crowned Scottish Premier Football League top scorer for the 2024-25 season, Cyriel Dessers.

AC Milan attacker Samuel Chukwueze and first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali were the latest entrants to storm the Super Eagles training camp on Monday evening.

Kano Pillars forward and team skipper Ahmed Musa is also in London alongside Werder Bremen full-back Felix Agu, who recently received clearance to represent Nigeria internationally, and Slavia Prague’s Igho Ogbu.

Nine players from the Nigeria Premier Football League including Junior Nduka, Sadiq Ismaila, Waliu Ojetoye, Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Papa Mustapha, Saviour Isaac, Collins Ugwueze, Sikiru Alimi, and Abubakar Adamu have also landed in the United Kingdom.

As the Eagles fine tune tactics and preparations ahead of their first clash against the Black Stars of Ghana at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford on May 28, four more players including backup shot-stopper Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, defender Chrisantus Uche, and Genk forward Tolu Arokodare are being expected by the coaching crew.

The Unity Cup, which is a four-nation tournament aimed at promoting unity through football and culture, and will also feature Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, will run from May 27 to 31.
