Novak Djokovic remains on course to win a record 25th career grand slam singles title after rallying from a set down to get past Alexander Zverev in four sets and set up a showdown against world number one, Jannik Sinner, in the French Open semi-finals.
The sixth seeded Djokovic put up a vintage display to secure a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over the third seeded German, clinching a 51st appearance at a grand slam semi-final and becoming the oldest player since Pancho Gonzales in 1968 to reach the last four.
It does not get any easier for the 38-year-old Serb, though, as the three-time French Open champion will now face the top seed next in what promises to be a close contest between two players in great form.
Sinner came through his quarter-final clash against Alexander Bublik with a 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 win, as he aims to add the crown at Roland Garros to the one he won in Australia at the start of the year before serving a suspension.
