Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, has made history after scoring two goals and providing one assist in the Reds’ thrilling 3-3 draw at Newcastle United in a Premier League clash on Wednesday night.

Salah set up Curtis Jones to score Liverpool’s first equaliser five minutes into the second half at St. James Park, before getting the visitors’ second equaliser with just over 20 minutes left in the match.

The goal and assist was the 37th instance of Salah getting such goal involvement in the Premier League, surpassing the previous record which was held by Manchester United and Everton legend, Wayne Rooney.

Salah would go on to put Liverpool ahead with his second goal of the night in the 83rd minute, before a lapse in concentration from Caoimhin Kelleher allowed Fabian Schar snatch a point for the Magpies in the 90th minute.

The Egyptian, who is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool, has also now scored in seven consecutive Premier League matches for the Reds.

Both goals against Newcastle also take him past Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in the race for the golden boot, with Salah now on 13 goals while Haaland has 12 goals.
