George Russell has emerged winner at the Las Vegas GP, starting the grid in pole position and never looking back to get a second race win of the season and lead a Mercedes 1-2 as Lewis Hamilton crossed the finish line in second place.
The win gives Mercedes a fourth race win for the season, as Russell joins Hamilton in winning two races apiece so far in 2024 to ensure it is the first time ever seven drivers have won multiple races in a Formula 1 season.
Russell and Hamilton were followed by the Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc respectively, while Max Verstappen finished fifth ahead of title rival, Lando Norris, to clinch the driver’s world championship for a fourth consecutive year.
