Pittsburgh Steelers are now 5-2 for the season after brushing off a slow start to the game against the New York Jets to record a big 37-15 win in a Week 7 NFL clash at the Heinz Field.
Steelers handed Russell Wilson a debut for Sunday Night Football and the Quarterback delivered the team’s highest scoring game since 2021, finishing the game with 264 yards passing and three total touchdowns.
Corliss Waitman got the Steelers on the board with a field goal from 46 yards, his 17th field goal from 18 attempts. But the Jets responded with a touchdown from Breece Hall to end the first quarter in a 7-3 lead.
Jets extended their lead to 15-6 in the second quarter, but that was about it from the visitors as the Steelers took over the show and scored 31 points without reply from Aaron Rodgers and co to see off the game.
Next up for the Steelers is a clash against the Giants at the Heinz Field on Tuesday, while the Jets are up against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
