UFC 304 was a night of history as Belal “Remember the Name” Muhammad etched his name in the UFC record book after seeing off defending Champion Leon Edwards for the welterweight title belt in Manchester, England.

36-year-old Muhammad showcased heart, determination, and wrestling skill in the intense rematch, with both fighters leaving it all in the octagon in a closely contested battle.

The American Muhammad’s relentless pressure and grappling prowess paid off as he secured a unanimous decision victory, his 10th successive fight win, becoming the first champion of Palestine descent in the sport’s history.

UFC 304 has now become the biggest fight show to take place on English soil in the sport’s history. It is also the first fight night to take place at the 23,500 capacity arena since its opening in May.

And in the co-main event, Tom Aspinall defended his heavyweight belt against the experienced wrestler Curtis “Razor” Blaydes in a heavyweight bout which ended just a minute into the first round.

Aspinall made a bold challenge after the fight, as he called out none other than Jon Jones, the legendary former light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight champion.

The 31-year-old champion expressed his desire to test himself against the best and challenged Jones to meet in the Octagon.

Meanwhile in a lightweight bout, Liverpool’s own 29-year-old Paddy Pimblett faced off against the crafty striker Bobby Green, then called out Brazil’s Renato Moicano, who faces France’s Benoit Saint Denis in September.

Pimblett had a point to prove just to show how good he is, and he wasted no time in seeing Green off with a tight guillotine choke and armbar early in the first round, forcing the veteran to sleep.

UFC 304 delivered unforgettable moments. The octagon never disappoints!
