Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti has advised the Chelsea ownership regarding manager Enzo Maresca ahead of their clash in the United States.

The Spanish giants will face the Premier League side in their next pre-season game in North America as both teams prepare for the new campaign.

Ancelotti and Maresca are both Italian managers, and they’ve both coached the Blues. The Real Madrid gaffer won the EPL title and FA Cup during his two years at the club, so he knows what it is like to coach the Blues.

Conversely, Maresca joined Chelsea this summer from Leicester City after the Blues parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ancelotti urged the Chelsea owners to be patient with the former Manchester City assistant coach.

“It’s changed a lot,” the former Paris Saint-Germain manager said of Chelsea. “They invested a lot. They have a good squad, good players, young. They have a young manager.”

Ancelotti added, “They need to be a little bit patient, the owners, to take experience, to grow.”

Real Madrid are still without a win in the pre-season, as they lost to both AC Milan and Barcelona, while Chelsea have won one out of their four matches.
