Two goals in stoppage time saw Real Madrid finally overcome a stubborn Real Mallorca to win the Spanish Super Cup second semi-final and set up an El Clasico against Barcelona in the final.

Following a goalless first half in Saudi Arabia, Jude Bellingham put the European champions ahead just after the hour mark with his ninth of the season, pouncing on the rebound after Rodrygo’s effort came off the Mallorca woodwork.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side had to wait until the 92nd minute to double the advantage through Martin Valjent’s own goal, before Rodrygo got a goal to mark his birthday in the 95th minute and seal a 3-0 win.

Real Madrid will now aim to retain the title on Sunday at the expense of their arch-rivals and equal them for number of wins in the competition – Barca lead with 14 Cup wins compared to Madrid with 13.
