Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, has played her last match with Spanish giants, Atletico Femenino, following a 5-0 win over Levante Badalona in the final league match of the 2024-25 season.

This was revealed at a farewell by the team for the Nigeria international and three other players – Marta Cardona, Ainhoa Moraza, and Merle Barth – at the end of the match, bringing an end to a four-and-a-half year spell at the Spanish capital for Ajibade.

“My people are the best in the world. Thanks to my family, my teammates, for everything, my coaching team, and everyone working behind the scenes who make this club what it is. Thank you for everything,” Ajibade said at the farewell.

The 25-year-old joined Atletico in January 2021 at the end of her contract with Norwegian side, Avaldsnes IL, going on to win the Supercopa de Espana in her debut season, followed by the Copa de la Reina in 2023.

She leaves the club at the end of her contract, having scored 40 goals in 139 appearances in all competitions, with her focus shifting to representing Nigeria at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations taking place this July in Morocco.
