Barcelona has started a few days of testing matches in confident manner thanks to a 4-1 demolition of Bayern Munich in a Champions League match on Wednesday, with Raphinha scoring a hat-trick to help the Spaniards put down a ghost of old.
Any meeting between the two teams always brings up the 8-2 humiliation Bayern handed to Barca in the Camp Nou back in August 2020, with Bayern enjoying a run of six straight wins over Barca heading into the latest instalment of the fixture.
Raphinha put Barca in front after just a minute on the clock as Hansi Flick’s side went about ending that Bayern run, but the German side equalised by the 18th minute through Harry Kane with his fifth goal in the competition.
But any chances of Barca capitulating again at the hands of the Bavarians was put aside real quick through goals from former Bayern man, Robert Lewandowski, and Raphinha with his second of the game.
The Brazilian forward completed his hat-trick with Barca’s fourth just before the hour mark as the Spanish league leaders completed a memorable win.
