Victor Osimhen has decided to sue a Turkish journalist for defamation after the journalist accused the Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker of assaulting him outside a restaurant.
A Turkish journalist, Tolga Bozduman, had accused Osimhen of assaulting him when he tried to take pictures of the Super Eagles star.
According to Osimhen while clearing the air on the issue following a 1-0 win over Konyaspor in the Super Lig, at no point did he punch the journalist as accused.
“I never punched this guy, I never hit him,” Osimhen told reporters after the game. “I will take the necessary step. If I hit him, he’s going to get justice. If he lied, then he’s going to see the wrath of the law.”

Osimhen scored the winner for Galatasaray in the match for his 12th goal in the Super Lig this season as he has not allowed the off-field controversy to affect his performances on-field.
