Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen’s proposed move from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain appears to be on hold after the French Ligue 1 title holders turned down a request from the 2023 Serie A champions.
Talks between the clubs have stalled according to reports from L’Equipe and Fabrizio Romano, as Napoli requested for South Korean midfielder Lee Kang-in to be included in a deal to see Osimhen join PSG.
This is a proposal the Parisians are not open to accept, in addition to the fact they are unwilling to meet Osimhen’s €130 million release clause and are also happy with current strikers Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos despite being open to let them go to make room for Osimhen if the need arises.
While both clubs have been discussing Osimhen’s transfer, an agreement seems unlikely unless there’s a change in their current stances. It will also affect Romelu Lukaku reuniting with Antonio Conte at Napoli if the Italian side are unable to ship out the Nigerian in time.
