Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, was on target in Turkey as Galatasaray maintained their unbeaten Super Lig campaign with a 2-1 win over Goztepe on Saturday.
Osimhen struck from the penalty spot in the 10th minute to put the Super Lig leaders ahead at RAMS Park, while Yunus Akgun scored the winner just after the hour mark after Romulo Cardoso pulled Goztepe level earlier in the first half.
The result leaves Galatasaray with 47 points from 17 matches, 11 points clear at the top with Fenerbahce in second place. Jose Mourinho’s side can cut the lead to eight points if they beat Hatayspor on Sunday.
Elsewhere in the Super Lig on Saturday, Samsunspor moved to within a point of Fenerbahce in third place with a 2-1 win over Anthony Nwakaeme’s Trabzonspor while Eyupspor came away from Antalyaspor with a 4-1 win.
