Two goals by Victor Osimhen proved enough to give Galatasaray a 2-1 win at Fenerbahce in a feisty Turkish Cup quarter-final showdown that saw three players sent off.

Osimhen put Galatasaray in front when he latched on to a loose ball to score after 10 minutes, before doubling the advantage for the visitors with a penalty after Filip Kostic was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Fenerbahce got on the scoresheet when Sebastian Szymanski pulled one back for the hosts on the stroke of half-time, with the VAR intervening after the goal was initially ruled out for offside.

Gabriel Sara came close to restoring Galatasaray’s lead only to be denied by Irfan Egribayat although the visitors did enough to see off the game and qualify for the Turkish Cup semi-final.

There was pandemonium at full-time, however, as Baris Yilmaz and Kerem Demirbay were sent off for Galatasaray while Fenerbahce saw Mert Hakan Yandas also sent off. Coaches of both teams also had to be separated.
