Victor Osimhen has scored his first hat-trick as a Galatasaray player as the Turkey Super Lig leaders eased to a 4-0 demolition of Antalyaspor in front of home fans at RAMS Park on Friday evening.

The Nigerian striker previously scored two goals in six matches in all competitions before Friday’s match where he finally got a hat-trick.

Osimhen opened the scoring at the half-hour mark with his 18th goal of the league campaign, before giving up the chance of getting a brace to allow strike partner, Alvaro Morata, score a penalty in the 45th minute.

26-year-old Osimhen would get his brace anyway in the third minute of first-half stoppage time, converting a ball from Baris Yilmaz to give the Super Lig leaders a 3-0 lead going into the break and become the new leading goalscorer of the league ahead of Istanbul Basaksehir’s Krzsztof Piatek.

Galatasaray’s top hitman would claim his first hat-trick for the club and 20th league goal of the season seven minutes into the second half to seal a 4-0 win and open a 10-point gap over Fenerbahce at the top of the Super Lig – though, Fenerbahce have two games in hand.
