Super Falcons of Nigeria striker, Francisca Ordega, has signed for Saudi Women’s Premier League club, Al Ittihad Ladies, penning a deal that will keep her at the club until 2027.

Ordega has joined Al Ittihad on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract at Russian club, CSKA Mosccow, where she made 49 goal contributions in 84 appearances – scoring 29 and providing 20 assists.

The 31-year-old forward will now link up with another Nigeria international, Ashleigh Plumptre, at the Arabian club, with Plumptre already establishing herself at Al Ittihad since joining from Leicester City in September 2023 and currently serves as the club’s captain.

26-year-old Plumptre got a goal for the club in a 4-2 defeat at home to Al Ahli last weekend.

Al Ittihad Ladies was originally the Jeddah Eagles FC founded in 2014 before being acquired in 2022 by Al Ittihad and becoming a fully professional football club. They are currently seventh in the 10-team league led by Al Nassr with a perfect record after 12 games.
