New Aston Villa signings Amadou Onana and Ian Maatsen made their pre-season debuts for Unai Emery’s side in a 4-1 demolition at the hands of MLS outfit Columbus Crew on Sunday.
The match also saw the return of Emiliano Buendia for Villa from knee ligament injury sustained last August, but the star of the game was Cucho Hernandez who netted a hattrick for Columbus Crew.
Cameron Archer scored Villa’s consolation goal in the game as Unai Emery’s side continue preparations for the upcoming season which sees them make a return to the UEFA Champions League.
