Manchester City have announced the signing of Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, with the forward joining on a four-and-a-half-year deal which will keep him at the Etihad until the middle of 2029.

The 25-year-old has made an impression with some of Europe’s big guns with his displays in the first half of this season in the Bundesliga, scoring 20 goals and 14 assists in all competitions, including 15 goals in the German top-flight.

Capable of playing across the front three, the Egyptian international has already surpassed his record from the 2023/24 season in which he scored 17 goals in 41 games across all competitions.

Marmoush started his career at Wadi Degla in Egypt as a teenager in 2015 and made 18 appearances over two seasons before joining Wolfsburg, scoring four goals in 17 games for the Bundesliga side’s second team.

He made his debut with the Wolfsburg first-team in the 2019/20 season, then went on loan to St. Pauli and VfB Stuttgart before finally leaving for Frankfurt in 2023 where he found his footing.

And in the clip below, Marmoush, who has earned 35 caps for his country, reveals some of his best traits on and off the field.
