Lawrence Okolie enjoyed a dream first fight in the heavyweight division, knocking out Hussein Muhamed in the first round of their bout at the OVO Arena in Wembley.
The fight was won with 46 seconds left in the first round when Okolie landed a right-hand counter-punch to send his German opponent tumbling.
Despite getting back on his feet after eight seconds on the referee’s count, Muhamed stumbled towards the referee, leaving the match official to award the win to Okolie and wave off Muhamed’s protest that he was fine to continue.
31-year-old Okolie moved up from the cruiserweight division to the heavyweight after losing the WBO Cruiserweight title to Chris Billam-Smith last year.
