Oklahoma City Thunder bounced back from the 42-point blowout loss in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against Minnesota Timberwolves to snatch a thrilling 128-126 win in Game 4 and take a 3-1 lead in the series on Monday night.
Reigning MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 40 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, while Jalen Williams finished with 34 points and Chet Holmgrem added 21 points as OKC left the crowd in Minneapolis stunned to silence.
Anthony Edwards had the chance to bring the Wolves level with 3.5 seconds left when he went to the free-throw line with the score at 128-125 in OKC’s favour. Ant Man made the first free-throw, then missed the second on purpose to allow the home side get a chance at winning or going to overtime.
Unfortunately for Timberwolves, Gilgeous-Alexander got the rebound from the missed free-throw, while Williams intercepted an inbounds pass from Julius Randle with 0.3 seconds left to seal the win and leave OKC one win away from the NBA Finals.
