Nigerian music star Odumodublvck believes Arsenal will win the Premier League title if the North London club makes moves for four players to bolster the squad.
Mikel Arteta’s side came close to the title last season, finishing two points behind Manchester City after losing only one league match in 2024 in a keenly contested title race with Pep Guardiola’s team.
The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since 2004 and having finished second in the last two successive seasons, Odumodublvck is sure Arsenal will win the league if they strengthen the squad with four signings.
“Get (Joao) Cancelo in at left back immediately,” the rapper declared during an interview with ESPN. “A left winger to support (Gabriel) Martinelli. I need an upgrade on Martinelli. I need a Rafael Leao, a game changer.”
The Portuguese duo were previously linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium before the start of last season, with Cancelo spending the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona while Leao has remained at AC Milan.
“I think we need four players actually. We need a number nine and we need someone that can play beside Declan (Rice),” he added.
Recall that Odumodublvck’s hit single ‘Declan Rice’ went on to be used as the soundtrack for the England midfielder’s unveiling after he signed from West Ham United in a club record deal worth £105 million.
“I would’ve said Barcelona’s (Frenkie) De Jong but I don’t know if (Arsenal) will be willing to pay that money,” he added. “Right now is the time to deliver that final blow, just get four players – left back, left winger, a CM and a nine, I promise you that (Arsenal) will win the league.”
Arsenal have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon. While Osimhen’s release clause in excess of £120 million is proving a steep price to pay, Gyokeres could cost Arsenal between £60 million and £80 million.
Do you agree with Odumodublvck’s transfer suggestions to the Gunners or is he dreaming too big?
