Nigeria Premier Football League side, Kano Pillars, have been charged by the league for breaching the NPFL Framework and Rules in their 1-0 defeat to Nasarawa United on Sunday.
The Kano-based club got in trouble with the NPFL over a statement from their Media & Communications Directorate quoting their player, Ahmed Musa, in which he disparaged match officials – an act deemed capable of bringing the game into disrepute.
Along with the charge, the club was also fined N2m and given a strong warning to behave better in the future.
