Nigeria’s Samuel Ogazi Shows Promise in Men’s 400m Olympic Final

Nigeria’s Samuel Ogazi delivered a commendable performance in the men’s 400m final at the Paris Olympics, finishing 7th with a time of 44.73 seconds.

Despite facing tough competition, Ogazi managed to run yet another sub-45 second race in what was a dramatic showdown that witnessed USA’s Quincy Hall surging in the last 50 meters to overhaul Great Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith and clinch the Olympic title in a Personal Best of 43.40 seconds.

Hudson-Smith earned the silver medal with a European Record of 43.44 seconds, while Zambia’s Muzala Samunkonga finished strong to take the bronze with a National Record of 43.74 seconds.

Ogazi’s performance in Paris highlights his promising future. Finishing among the top 8 in the world is a remarkable achievement as he continues to gain experience and hone his skills.
