Nigeria’s D’Tigress Find Out Foes Following FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Draws

The 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket draws have seen Nigeria’s D’Tigress getting to face Mozambique and Rwanda in the group stage of the competition taking place from July 25 in Cote D’Ivoire.

Coach Rena Wakama’s side will be expected to ease through the group and secure a spot in the knockout stages of the competition, as they bid to retain their trophy and win a seventh Afrobasket crown.

Elsewhere in the draws, host nation Cote D’Ivoire have been pitted against Angola and Egypt in Group A, while Mali, Cameroon and South Sudan are the opponents in Group B. Senegal, Uganda and Guinea will square up against one another in Group C.

All games of the 29th edition of the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket will be played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan. The tournament will run from 25th July to 3rd August, 2025.
