Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has posted a season’s best of 21.25m to finish fifth in the final standings of the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championship Shot Put event taking place in Nanjing, China.
It is the highest finish achieved at a major competition by Enekwechi, who was Nigeria’s sole representative at this year’s World Athletics Indoor Championship,
The event was won by New Zealand’s Tom Walsh, who reclaimed the world indoor title for his third win and sixth medal in the event with a season’s best throw of 21.65m.
Walsh finished ahead of Roger Steen and Adrian Piperi, with the American duo throwing 21.62m and 21.48m to complete the medal podium.
