Super Falcons and Al Ittihad Ladies captain, Ashleigh Plumptre, has put pen to a new two-year deal which will keep her at the Saudi Women’s Premier League club until 2027.

“Al-Ittihad Club announces the renewal of the contract of the first women’s team player, Nigerian international Ashley Plumptre, for two years,” the club wrote in a statement to announce the deal.

The statement added, “Domingos Oliveira [the club CEO] confirmed that renewing the player’s contract comes within the club’s strategy to retain distinguished players who have the desire to develop and serve the team better in the future.”

Plumptre has spent two years at the Jeddah-based club after joining at the expiration of her contract at Leicester City Women in 2023. She was recently joined by Super Falcons teammate, Francisca Ordega, at the club.
