Athletic Bilbao and Spain attacker, Nico Williams, is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League this summer, and would consider joining Arsenal if certain conditions are met by Mikel Arteta’s side.
Media reports everything will hinge on Arsenal’s contract package, with Williams insisting on being made among Arsenal’s highest paid players, knowing he can all but name his price given the status of clubs eager to sign him.
Williams has a buyout clause of around €65m, though his wage demands are proving an issue for the likes of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. The Spain international’s demands would potentially make him Arsenal’s highest paid player should they push through a deal.
For now, the 22-year-old is focused on helping Spain retain the Nations League title. Williams scored a goal as La Roja claimed a dramatic 5-4 win over France to set up a final showdown against Portugal in Munich on Sunday.
